I declare...

LaNelle tagged me to do this and I am wide awake when I wish I was sleeping but can't so here it is! (you have to type in the first thing that comes to your mind to make it fun):
i am: determined
i know: my Father lives and loves me too
i want: my children to be happy
i have: to figure out how to sleep at night
i hate: being morbidly obese and having gaps in my teeth
i miss: my grandparents and being physically close to my sisters
i feel: so many things at once it's as if a riot is going on in my head sometimes...
i hear: schoolbusses...poor kids (but not mine!!!) having to be at the bus stop at 6 am is just WRONG!!!
i smell: baby powder (weird but I do!!)
i crave: a triple prime cheddar burger from Ruby Tuesdays well done with just garlic mayo...it tastes like STEAK and is sooo juicy and I absolutely LOVE them...if you like burgers you HAVE to try one!!!
i search: for ways to overload my schedule when I am already behind on so many things!!!
i love: just sitting back and watching my 7 children when they get together...they are nutty and fun and I love them so!
i care: for really sick kids and their families every weekend as a pediatric critical care nurse
i always: want to be with Pete..even when I am being grumpy and hateful...I need him at my side because he makes me feel adored (although heaven only knows WHY he loves me!!) and he is SOLIDLY in my corner and because I STILL feel that "skipped heartbeat" when he walks in the room (even when I don't show it because I'm a brat!)
i believe: the sun will come out tomorrow (Annie) because I am and always have been and probably always will be an optimist.
i sing: so horribly it's embarrassing but I HUM all the time without being aware until someone says something to me...Ninna always did that too!
i write: because I can but am entirely too long-winded (it's the baptist preacher kid coming out in me...hahahaha)
i lose: everything but fat!!
i win: period!
i never: go less than 5 miles over the speed limit
i listen: to Sarah Beth talk all day!! (I know I know she gets that from her Mama!!)
i am scared: of scary movies or scary music...I HATE THEM!!!
i need: a bigger house so my family can be together more often
i am happy about: Heather coming to Idaho with us for Lanelle's graduation.
i tag: Mary Beth, Christi, Kim, and of course....DR DREW!!!

Happy Halloween!

Isn't this the CUTEST spider you have ever seen!!! I love this little guy so much it hurts!!! He is the happiest most laid back kid, really polite and loving! He is active...he skiis, tubes, swims, dives, rides his bike, climbs, and is a world traveler....but his favorite place to be is with "CONNOR and BETH" oh, and yeah...Peter and Andrew and way down the list, Grandma and Papa! But I am just so happy seeing him enjoy his family. Happy Halloween Kalib!!

A Silly Celebrity Comparison

MyHeritage: Celebrity Collage - Free genealogy websites - Free genealogy

OK I knew this was going to be dumb...I guess I should be glad Rosie O'Donnell didn't show up! Seriously, I do look like my Dad so I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised to see some guy turn up! UGH!! Anyway...I wonder who would show up if I put a younger thinner version of me? Oh, who cares??

The Twins Baptism

Saturday October 11, the twins were baptized at the Irmo chapel. It was wonderful to have everyone together and have all of my children participate in this sacred occasion! Here are some pics of our Family Day!

The SHERIDAN SEVEN!!!!!

Christi Mayo of CW MAYO photography is amazing! She generously agreed to do a photo session of our family since all of my children were home! I had all 7 of them together for 12 amazing but short hours. Soon, I will post more of the pics she took but I couldn't wait to show off the incredible awesome SHERIDAN SEVEN!!!

They are sitting in age-order. Heather, LaNelle, Peter, Andrew, Patti, Connor, and Sarah Beth. I love my kids! THANK YOU CHRISTI!!!!!

Oh and you can see more on Christi's photography website by clicking on CW Mayo Photography under my link list!

Why I Hate To Clean

I get sidetracked so easily. I come from a family of spotless (I mean eat off of the floor any day anytime)housekeepers. Ok so what happened to me? I don't know! I kept my house very clean until Andrew was born and I don't know what happened then...I just fill my day with so much "other stuff" and anyone that knows me well KNOWS I am NOT LAZY! I just get sidetracked. Like tonight. I have been sick but still have to teach the twins and do my online economics (YUCK!!) class and work weekends..BUT that's all I've done for 3 weeks so my house is a total disaster...such a disgrace my grandma is spinning in her grave. And my kids are coming home tomorrow so I couldn't sleep with everything a mess and so I started to clean at midnight. Connor woke up at 12:30 and was hungry (we BEG him to eat!) so I made him "toad in a hole" (fried egg in grilled bread.) While I was cooking, I went ahead and baked the chocolate bites for the baptism and made some other stuff...Then I cleaned the kitchen and at 2 remembered I wanted to check on Tate's cardiologist visit so I did that. I cleaned the bathroom and Sarah Beth woke up at 3 and was "nervous" (her words????) so I washed her hair (don't ask...we are weird like that) and then started on her room and in her closet, I found this picture and it made me smile...LaNelle's 1st date...I love the boy in this picture and I love this picture of Sarah Beth checking him out...ahhh...I miss those days! He and LaNelle were much better friends than daters and they were smart enough to marry people so much better suited for them but I miss their teenage years...and the twins' babyhood. It goes so quick. Tomorrow they get baptized. See what I mean...now it's 4:15 and I have so much more to do...maybe I have ADHD...oh and I found this picture too...it was about 1992 or 93...CJ Dowdy taking Andrew up "hamburger hill" in Charlotte...I miss Jeff and never see Cindy... More memories...to work, Libbi, to work...I need a maid...or a sleeping pill...or maybe ritalin??? No, just more hours in the night! See why I hate to clean???

PLEASE WISH ME LUCK.....

This was in my email at work...

Palmetto Health proudly announces its inclusion on Modern Healthcare magazine's inaugural list of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare! This national program celebrates healthcare environments that enable employees to perform at their optimum level and thus provide patients and customers with the best possible care and services.

In recognition of this exciting, unprecedented award, employees also are invited to participate in an exciting, unprecedented contest! In 75 words or less, make a case for why you think Palmetto Health is one of the Best Places to Work In Healthcare. Just click here to submit your entry! Once the "Best Place Best Case" is identified and its writer revealed, the winner and a guest will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Chicago Oct. 28-30 to accept the national award on Palmetto Health's behalf at the first-ever Best Places to Work Gala. The trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations, spending money and three days PTO!

OK NOW!!!! that's just a FEW words which is hard for my long-winded self...but I tried anyway...so please wish me luck! Below is my entry (Just so you know, our vision is "to be remembered by each patient as providing the care and compassion we want for our family and ourselves." )

Our vision clearly guides every employee every day and makes Palmetto Health the best place to work in healthcare. We treat all patients (and each other) as we would want to be treated. It sounds simple, and it is. From the boardroom to the basement and everywhere in between; we smile, we help, we go the extra mile. We’ve got the knowledge, skills and technology to heal but it’s our heart that sets us apart!
